A Networking Group with a Heart

Edina Professionals may look like just another professional networking group at first glance. But take a closer look or secure an invitation as a guest, and you will experience our mission to not only generate business among members but also to give back to the community on a regular basis.

“There’s always a community event on our plate where we have the opportunity to give back” says Andrew Olive, with Edina Realty, and one of Edina Professionals founding members.

Members escorted several young men with autism and other developmental disabilities from a local group home to the State Fair this year. During Spring 2011, we held one of our weekly meetings at PRISM (People Responding in Social Ministry) in Golden Valley. Inspired by Monica Treviño, Director of Operations and Donor Relations at PRISM, Edina Professionals donated 409 lbs of clothing, 102 lbs of household items, $50, and a car.

PRISM works overtime to assist people who are struggling to make ends meet. Whether PRISM clients need food, clothing, transportation or financial assistance during their time of crisis, the Edina Professionals recognize the need to support these types of organizations in our community.
